Never Better

My favorite part about this world: It is my choice to decide how I am doing.

And no one will ever have control over that.

So why the hell would I ever choose to be doing “fine”, or “ok”??

Time is our most valuable resource and it is limited. No sense in spending it with a terrible mindset.

And the truth of the matter is that I do have bad circumstances and experiences that could bring me down. But it’s how you react to these circumstances that matter.

Plus, getting through these bad situations are what make the great experiences feel more fulfilling.

Life moves in waves, and is always changing. Every human being's attitude is the same way.

But it doesn't matter because how I am doing is my choice. And I will forever be in a perpetual state of never better!

I have been broken down on the side of the road with no cell service, I have seen my friends verbally fight, I have been in toxic environments where everyone wants it their way and is at each other's throat, I have been seriously injured and needed the help of other people to do everyday tasks.

And when I am asked, “how are you doing?” I always say “never better”. It’s because these experiences are better than having no experiences at all. (like death)

Not to mention, I always see more enthusiasm in other people's eyes when I tell them that I am never better. This brings me up too.

Another way to look at this attitude, is to understand that if you choose to live life the way you want to and follow your goals relentlessly, 1 of 2 things will happen.

  1. You will accomplish your goals and live a fulfilling and joyful life because of the journey towards them.
  1. You will lie on your deathbed without a single regret, because you put every ounce of energy into creating the life that you wanted.

The most enjoyable points in your life wouldn't be that enjoyable if it weren't for the hardships and struggles that you go thru.

And since time is the most valuable resource, why would you waste it by being in a bad mood? Your mood is completely your choice, and can be changed at any time.

For me, whenever I feel unmotivated I do 50 push ups. This exercise is difficult for me, and I start to break a sweat. Changing your physical state like this will allow you to change your mental state.

I believe having a great attitude is the best possible asset a person can have. It makes other people want to be around you, it gives you a serious advantage compared to other people.

The secret to a happier mindset is the following:

The beautiful thing about this life is that you can do whatever you want with it.

If you want to live under a palm tree, or build a unicorn in silicon valley you can.

And the only person who can ever stop you, is yourself.
